Self Portrait - Oil Paint
Bret is an artist living and working in Seattle. He works mainly in oil paint and charcoal. Bret has a long history of self-portraits since his days as a student at the San Francisco Art Institute in the early 1990's. Bret feels that self-portraits are an homage to the old masters and the model is usually available. His most current self-portrait on display was completed in 2018 and represents Bret's exploration of loose abstraction while maintaining a characteristic likeness.
