Ren Xie
Untitled - Acrylic Paint

Growing up in a British Colony, and with a B. A. in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University, Ren uses the painting of cities and landscapes as a template to explore the emotions of contemporary life. Figures and their relation to each other within the painting begin the mapping of feeling, examining collective realities of post colonialism, isolation and inequality, and personal experience of loss, memory, longing, and desire.

Ren paints in the Seattle artists' collective Ballardworks. For more works contact ren.art.seattle@gmail.com
