Rose Reflecting Autumn – Photography
Marc Fairbanks is a prolific multi-media artist that has been exploring the creative of the natural through his camera lens since 1979. Marc's photography expands spans developing B/W film and photos in the elementary school dark room to air photo analysis, multi-spectral remote sensed data, and terrestrial lidar. He was worked in oil, watercolor, graphite/ink/charcoal, clay, stone, wood and metal. He is a lifelong drummer and musician of more than 40 years.
Marc's affinity towards the arts, natural world, and built environments are combined in BA in Geography and Land Studies and MS in Resource Management at Central Washington University. Marc's research spans from ArcheoAstronomy geo-visualizations of paleo monuments in central Mexico, Geomorphology of Potholes Coulee, 3D animation of the WildHorse Wind Farm for the scoping process, wildlife management, and Anisotropic friction walking algorithm between river house sites and rooting fields along the Columbia River. Marc has cartographic figures published in an Archeology Encyclopedia Series, several figures supporting journal articles, and a mountain biking guidebook.
