 The Seattle Seahawks and BIAWA take to the field!

A Partnership The Brain Injury Association of Washington (BIAWA) joins with the Seattle Seahawks and the Centers Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to offer the statewide Heads Up: Concussions in Youth Sports Campaign.

 

New Study UW has announced a new study to test a device designed to help people with brain injuries find different places in the community. Click here for more information (word)

 

Our statewide campaign will benefit more than 80,000 middle and high school students in Washington State. Features of the campaign include:

  • Public Service Announcements (PSAs)

  • Testimonials by members of the Seattle Seahawks

  • Statewide Advisory Board comprised of experts and a consensus statement

  • Invitation for other organizations and individuals to join the campaign

  • Several presentations delivered before statewide conferences related to high school athletics

  • Spring 2009 Medical Conference

  • Distribution of premiums such as clip boards, posters, magnetic fact sheets and other materials to educate coaches, athletic trainers, physicians, parents – and student athletes.
